Wow another month gone by and another great month for GMPP sales here at Fichtner Chevrolet. A Big THANKS to everyone who purchased a plan from me in March and a Future thanks to everyone who is going to purchase one in the future. My sales of GMPP just keep growing month by month, it actually amazes me but I guess I am doing something right and that is taking care of my customers questions and concerns of the GMPP and then selling them at a great price to then after answering their questions and concerns. To each and every one of you who have posted your happiness with my treatment of you, A VERY BIG THANKS, without all of you my days would be very boring and believe me they are not, I average about 75-100 Emails a day and at least 30-40 calls a day so if you call and get my voice mail you have my promise I will get back to you as soon as humanly possible. Well here are some frequently asked questions by customers looking to buy the GMPP:
Do I have to buy a service or maintenance contract at the time of vehicle purchase?
It depends. Vehicle service contracts may be purchased at any time while the manufacturer's warranty (36 months/36,000 miles - whichever comes first) is still in effect. After the warranty has expired, a vehicle service contract may be purchased only at the time of vehicle purchase.
Can I purchase a GM Protection Plan on a used GM car?
Yes, but your vehicle service contract must be purchased at the time you buy the vehicle.
How do I sign up for a GM Protection Plan?
Your GM dealer will prepare all necessary paperwork for you.
Will I receive a GM Protection Plan contract upon receipt of purchase?
You will receive a copy of the completed, signed contract registration to use as a temporary agreement. A personalized agreement and identification card will be mailed to you.
What if I sell my vehicle before the GM Protection Plan expires?
Your contract can be transferred to the new owner upon sale of the vehicle or the remainder of the contract can be canceled. (An administrative fee may apply.)
Can I renew or extend a GM Protection Plan?
In most cases, yes. Coverage can be renewed anytime during the manufacturer's warranty. After the manufacturer's warranty has expired, coverage can be renewed if the existing GMPP/MRP contract has at least three months and 3,000 miles of coverage term remaining.
What does Major Guard provide?
It covers the parts and labor costs of repairing covered vehicle components in the event of failure - even if it results from wear and tear*. It also provides Roadside Assistance, Alternate Transportation and optional Tire Road Hazard coverage.
How much does Major Guard cost?
That depends on the vehicle you're covering, the time, mileage and deductible choices made, and when you purchase the Plan.
Is Major Guard transferable?
Yes. It can be transferred to a new owner for a small administrative fee upon sale of the vehicle.
What if I buy Major Guard and then decide I don't want it?
Major Guard has a money-back satisfaction guarantee. Cancel within 60 days (with no claims filed) for a full refund. After that your refund is prorated (less an administrative fee).
What do I ultimately get from Major Guard?
The elimination of unexpected financial surprises on covered repairs. Security down the road and peace of mind for the long run.
