if the allocation numbers are listed on thursdays, when would a dealer know if he can place an order for as an example a vert w/ Z51 and have it be accepted?

Great question with an easy answer. TODAY. Every Thursday dealers receive their allocation quantity. When they view their allocation quantity they will also see their share of the constraints. Every dealer knew this morning whether or not they would have one or more Corvette orders approved for production and whether or not they could order a Convertible and/or a Corvette with Z51.

Hi Ken, I'll post my question in your thread.

Status 1101-Order Accepted by GM.

So this means my order was accepted by the Factory? I am confused...

Default G.M. Event Codes

I'm not Kemn, but here are the Event Codes:

1100-Order placed at dealer
1101-Order accepted by GM
2001-Order generated to dealer
2005-Order replaced with GM Prospec order
2050-Order changed
2500-Order sent to production, preferenced
3000-Order accepted by production control
3100-Order available to sequence (now the tpw becomes more stable)
3300-Order selected for production by assembly plant
3400-Order broadcasted for production
3800-Vehicle produced
4150-Vehicled invoiced to dealer
4200-Vehicle shipped
5000-Vehicle delivered to dealer
6000-Vehicle delivered to customer

1101 means only that the order got into G.M.'s computer. You don't have a "real" -- i.e., an order that is really going to be produced until Event Code 2500; and one ready to be sctually scheduled until Event Code 3100.
