Default Another Headlamp Door Issue...

Hi guys,
I just joined your forum and I think it's great. I've read a bunch and look forward to learning everything there is to know about my 'vette.

I just bought a 1976 Corvette yesterday. A lot of great work has been done to it, but on my trip back to home, the headlamp door started giving me problems.
With the door closed and when I really get on the gas pedal, I notice the doors rising a bit. When I got home and started to show-off to a friend, the doors went up and stayed up. They won't go back down....Any ideas?

Your problem is a vacuum leak. Check the lines that run to the doors and trace it back. Best thing to do is to replace every vacuum line as you go back.

Also, post this in the C3 Forum and you'll get even more and better answers.

RdRdVette,

Welcome to the forum. My guess is animal is correct that you have a vacuum problem. Also the C3 section will give you a lot of information. If there is anything we at Fichtner Chevrolet can assist you with from questions or parts at wholesale pricing give us a call at 800-234-5284 or email me at parts@fichtnerchevrolet.com
Again welcome to the forum.

Bob
