Just bought my first Corvette a 1964 300 HP 327 stick. Helped a friend build a couple in high school and college. His 67 427 was one of the few cars in the neighborhood to keep up with my 409 Impala SS. i had been looking for a roller project coupe for a few years but this one popped up when a client mentioned he was buying a 2000 Z06 and did not need 3 Corvettes. this car he has had for 20 years and is pretty nice factory appearing although an aluminum radiator and a FAST EFI TB on a Peformer intake with factory exhaust manifolds into side pipes.
I've been building and racing cars since high school and 1970. The 409 Impala won class at the 1972 IHRA Longhorn Nationals and Nationals. Drove a 1969 Roadrunner in college until i graduated and bought a new 1978 Trans Am I still have. Autocrossed it with road race slicks, then when the NMCA started having muscle car events early '90s with show and drag racing converted it to drag racing. A number of different motors since then. This year swapped the handling .suspension back in.
Here is the stable at the shop now.
