Hello from Oklahoma City - Just bought my first Corvette!
Hello Corvette forum,
I'm happy to say that I am now the owner of a well-kept and low mileage convertible 2001 C5!
It's got just under 45K miles with just a couple of barely noticeable nicks and scratches, and as far as I know, in great mechanical shape otherwise. Took it on a joy ride today and it's a lot of fun. This is my favorite Corvette generation; stylistically, I think they're just beautiful and have a unique look without being too pretentious or unattainable, rides gently and tame around town while still being a legit high performance sports car when you want it to be. I am entering my late 20s and this was the model in racing games I played as a kid and have admired since then. I love these and it's great that I finally own one!
In addition to saying hi, I'd like to ask if there are there any things you long-time owners would advise me to be especially aware of with the C5 regarding maintenance and things I should know in advance, generally? I want to take care of this thing and keep it in good shape for a long time. I've begun reading the user manual and will browse this board as well.
Cheers!

Congrats on your C5 and welcome to the forum. I recommend that you ask your questions about that generation of Corvettes in the C5 sections of the forum - members there can give you some valuable advice and insight into the C5 platform.

Thanks, all! This looks like a great community of people who love these cars. Glad I'll be able to drop by here.
And, I've known about Eischen's since I was a child but I've never tried it - I think it's time to take a trip over there.
