Default New C5Z owner checking in!

Welp, been looking for one of these for awhile and finally came across one for a good deal that's been fairly well taken care of!

Details:
2001 z06
LS6
6-speed T56
5x,xxx miles
One owner
BONE STOCK!

I picked the car up from Dennis Dillon in Boise, Idaho a few Mondays ago and haven't wiped the smile off my face since then. After selling the R6 and my third SRT (after a line of EVO's, STI's, etc). I had full intentions of turning my attention to something with an LS power plant.

Initially test driving it I loved it (it's a damn Vette, what's not to enjoy?), but I was very VERY hesitant towards the purchase because of the stripes. But after viewing the car fax, and re-analyzing the car I just couldn't pass up it's condition and miles.

Since buying it the stripes have grown on me, they're painted on, so I'll have to deal. But maybe eventually if they get to me too much I'll just have it wrapped in a matte metallic silver.

Here's the car after picking it up:

And here's a few during/after lowering it a few inches. Also did a shortER antenna haha.

After all lowered. Hard to tell in the pics unfortunately :/

So far it's just lowered and tinted windows.

Future mods:
LT's and X-Pipes with stock axle back (z06 axle back is titanium from the factory)
Vararam intake
LH G5X3 cam. LSA 114. Good NA and good for boost
Set of ET streets
C6 z06 shifter and shift ****
160 degree thermostat
And tune.

Those should all be happening SOON. Eventually I would like to boost it and hoping to have that done within the next year or so.

Well there it is! I'll update accordingly!

Wanna give a big thanks to a few buds here from Boise for getting me hooked!

Thanks everyone ! Appreciate all the love!

Well, ran it at Import Summer Jam this past weekend and went 13.4 @ 109. Not too bummed out considering it's bone stock and I was spinning some of the time. Not to mention the heat! 151 degree track temps! After all the configuration that's about 5800 ft! So guess I can't be too hard on myself Haha.

I have a few mods on hand and on order that'll be on before the next race, so I'm glad to see the true difference these will make!

I've been itching to get some photos done of this damn thing, so today I went out and shot a few of my own.

Excuse the ****** photo bucket quality! Haha.

My personal favorite!

Well needed to give my engine bay some love! Granted it's not perfect (and I live in Emmett so it gets dirty and dusty as fuuuuu within a few hours lol) but it does look a MILLION times better!

Before:

Had done from Brake Reservoir to fender in this pic:

I can't speak for the electric version but my mom bought a new Kona Ultimate and it is a great car, loaded with tech for the money.
