I accidentally bought a C6...
...and figured it was about time to sign up. We're a Vette family -- with the odd Mustang -- and today I picked up my first C6; a 1SC, night race blue 427. The wife has her C4 Collector Edition and C5 project car.
Hoping to be able to contribute to the forum at some point, but for now I have (much) more reading to do about the C6 platform.
Gratuitous night shot of when we were babysitting a friend's ZR1 while he was on vacation (which incidentally led me to buying a C6):

The 427 will remain stock'ish for a long time. The GT lets me turn wrenches when I feel like it -- and sometimes when I have to, too

Please pardon my late reply! It's a 2006. I bought it with 20k miles on the odometer, blew the motor a little while later, and, well, it snowballed out of control after that; a Rotrex C38-91 on an A/W IC, doing about 13 psi on 93 octane, running meth, built bottom end, ported and polished heads, borderline too aggressive cams, a ton of weight reduction -- pardon the pun, and a whole lot of other things. I like to keep it subtle, though, so no visible front mount; extra gauges, line lock, and trunk ice water tank are all hidden, etc.

Very pretty Mustang! I really am not much of a fan of maroon, but I really like the shade on your car. It looks really great!
I have a 1970 428 CJ Mustang. It had an 871 blower on it before I removed it. I've spent 6-7 years taking it from a track to a "street" car again. Not as easy as I thought.
Here are some various stages of the progress over the past few years, sadly I haven't done anything to it in about 1.5 years.
