new guy on the block.
Hey every one I'm new to this forum and very happy to meet all of the members that own corvettes. I own a 86 4-3 manual vette. I'm having a huge problem with it. I love my car I've had it for more then 10 yrs. when I first bought it it was great. By my career in the armed forces lead me to leave it at the mercy of cruel mechanics. The last one cut all the wiring to the fuse box and then threw mud in the radiator to keep me paying for his work on it. When I returned back from overseas and now retired, I came to a lot of things he did. I bent my lines from the gas tank so the car would be deprived of gas... the list is long. I was frustrated. So i met other guys who owned vettes a they sent me to the right people . They told me the horror story. So they got the car working enough ($ 4300 later) for me to bring it home. So I began my tearing the car apart,,, determined to have my baby running again. I removed the entire main fuse box and rewired that. The car runs all of it came alive,, however the dash now when blank so did the radio. Tomorrow my task is to look at the next box behind the main console. any thoughts? also my car fans not working relays or fuses seem ok but worried about the front end wiring,,, any thoughts on that?
Well thanks for reading sincerely your new friend!
