Default G'day from Down Under

G'day,

My name is Ray and I have a white 1971 big block auto coupe and a yellow 1986 Pace Car automatic convertible. Yesterday I had a problem with the door lock on my '71 when trying to leave a car show. The key did not turn fully in the driver's door and I had to get in from the right side. I got the car home but cannot unlock the door. Aussiejohn tried to help but to no avail so we're both asking you guys to help us.

John has come over today with a door tool to get the lock button off but we cannot open the door in order to remove the trim panel etc. John received a photo of the mechanism and we'll try from there after lunch. John has his '74 coupe here with the trim panel removed, so we should be able to work it out from that, however, any help you guys can give will be much appreciated.

Thanks and Hooroo.

Thanks everyone for the welcome.
The C3 door lock is working beautifully again, thanks to a new local Corvette friend who came round, fixed the problem and put the door mechanism all back together again.
Also thanks to Aussie John for his help.

Hooroo for now, Aussie Vetman.
