Default new to the forum from idaho...

Well new to the site and seeking info on the c6 vette. Currently trying to sell my baby (2004 silverado ss) highly modded 11.1@124 in the quarter mile truck so i can get me a c6 vette. I really have my eye on a 2008 ls3 model but need to sell the truck b4 i can pick one up. I need to know the ins and outs of these guys so i can make an educated decision when im ready to buy. Hopefully this site will be as helpful as the silverado ss site l was when i started on that.

Welcome.i still got my silverado ss but don't mess with it much anymore since I bought my vette.its a lot easier to make these fast then it is to make a heavy *** awd truck.I'm tryn to get zippy to come down and tune my vette and re tune the truck to see what it's got left.

Are you on sss.com also if so what your s/n? But your right they got to be easier to make fast because getting a heavy stock motor pig into the deep 11's wasnt easy or cheap. I hope i can get my hands on a nice vette. What year make vette do you have? And yes zippy is the man he tunes my truck but it sounds like you know that already.

03justin on SSS aslo.i talked to you onthere a few times the truck was fun but I still might switch out the 370/d1 for a 408-427 and 88mm since I picked up a turbo kit right before I got a deal on the car and it's been collecting dust ever since.mine is a 05 when I got it already had a fully built 402 and d1 with the wide booty and it had only 15000 miles on the body and not even 1000 on the motor.so I figured the money I was going to spend on a lsx,4l80 conversion and going turbo why not buy a built vette instead.

Zippy has tuned the truck mail order and it runs.i talked to a few local shop about going sd and they kept telling me all kind of different reason not to.but the truck has been on sd for awhile and I've never had any problem with it since zippy did it.so I'd rather him do it and I'll no it's right and I trust what he says.

Sounds like a sweet vette. Is there a place where you can buy the wide booty parts to convert a vette or do you have to go through the dealership?
