New Member in Olathe, KS
Good morning! This is my first post on the Corvette Forum. I am a new member in Olathe, KS, and I am excited to join your community.
Here's my background:
I'm a certifiable car nut, but (don't shoot me) I've been a Ford guy for years. I am a Mustang freak, and built a Factory Five Racing Cobra replica few years ago.
Recently, a few friends of mine have purchased C6 Corvettes, and my father-in-law recently trading in his 97 C5 for a 2009 Z06....what an amazing car! At any rate, I want to build another Factory Five when my son (now 6 years old) is old enough to enjoy the project with me, but I figure that's about 5 years away. Meantime, I'd like to experience a C6; I've lusted after Corvettes since I was a kid, and I'm now financially at a place where a used LS2 or LS3 is within reach without breaking the bank.
As I said, I'm a huge car geek, consummate "Do It Yourself" kind of guy, from engine work to bodywork and paint. I have a 4-post lift in my garage to store my toys, and when the weather is nice, more often than not, someone (or many) stop by with their toys to get their car on the lift for oil changes, inspections, upgrades, etc.
At any rate, this forum looks great. I used to spend countless hours on ffcars.com and have been one of the most active members there for the last 5 years, but that has taken a place on the back burner for now until I build again. Meantime, I'm looking forward to getting to know this community and all I can about the C6!
If any members are close to Olathe, I'd love to get together, talk shop, check out your ride, and just kick tires. If you need access to a lift, by all means, give me a shout...beer is on me!

Welcome to the Forum!!!!!!!! 
Factory Five has some nice, well engineered products. Building a car with your son sounds like a great time......of course restoring a Vette could be too.

Welcome to the forum! I live in Overland Park, Kansas. What cars do you currently have? I have a 1969 Camaro RS/SS with a 396 4 speed and a 2010 Corvette Grand Sport. Always enjoy kicking the tires and enjoy talking about cars!

Hello, Tom. I recently sold my Cobra, and now have a 2007 Audi A4 2.0T Quattro and a 2002 Mustang GT daily driver. Looking to sell the Mustang in the next month or two to replace with a C6. LOVE the Grand Sport, and would love to see yours!
I have a Direct Lift Pro Park 7, purchased from www.derekweaver.com several years ago. Surprisingly affordable.

Maybe when the weather gets a little warmer I will take you up on that offer to test fit my Corvette on your lift. You and your wife are welcome to come over to my garage anytime to check out my cars!
