[IMG][IMG][/IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]I'm new to this fourm and wanted to introduce myself and say hello to all. I owned and restored a 1961 back in 1979. It took me 3 years to complete a frame off only to injoy it for the summer and sell it that fall. Got married had kids. You know the story. Now my wife of 30+ years and I are empty nesters. The week before last on Saturday I purchased a 1968 convertable. It's one of those stories you only hear about. The car was mentioned to me in a conversation with a business associate. I followed up on the conversation and met the owner. It turns out he lived in the town next to where I live. I went and took a look and there it was in the corner of his barn for 25 years under a shelve with a wall framed in front. Things were piled all around it. I offered him $3500.00 and he accepted. The car is all original except for the wheels and steering wheel, but all the little peices are there. I plan to do a full restore with mild updates to the steering and suspension. Oh by the way it is a numbers matching car 327/350. I did find and run the numbers. I so look forward to this fourms input and will keep you updated.

story!!! Welcome to the Forum!!!!!!!!!! I think many of us kind of dream of that once in a lifetime barn find but few experience it. I haven't had the pleasure but I read about other members here finding cars. Good for you. Best of luck with the restoration. Have fun, enjoy the car and the Forums.
I would like to thank all of you for your feedback. I look forward to all the input from this fourm. As things progress along I will post updates so you can see the results of your input.
