Hello
Just got my first Corvette this past week. I purchased a previously owned 2007, Victory Red Corvette.
I had a sports car many years ago, 1972 Camaro, 350. It was a great car. I then was a soccor mom for 20 years driving a Toyota 4 Runner. Another great car. Kids grown, so I got myself a Miata MX5. That was a thrill. I was told many times, "don't buy the Miata, you will get bored in no time". I was basicially happy with the Miata as I love to drive on the windy roads up in wine country. I then drove my boyfriend's Corvette. Well that was it for the Miata. I had a hard time getting back into that car. It took me a few months to make up my mind and here I am.
It is an amazing car with so much to learn, but not daunting. I love the 'culture' around this vehicle too. Thanks to all who wave and share their experiences. Now I am going to look into a Corvette Club. I am sure that I will learn so much more about my Corvette on top of the many activities.
I am so happy to be able to participate in this Corvette Forum. I have already learned so much reading posts from the members.
Don't know how I missed your introduction earlier this month with that avatar name! Red wine is one of my loves! Congratulations on your new Corvette & Welcome to the Forum! As you've already seen lots of great information & knowledgeable Vette owners here!
