Welcome to the Forum!!!!!!!!!! I think you'll like the C5 Z, performance wise for sure, interior fit, finish and materials maybe not so much. Depends what you expect. Best of luck, enjoy the Forums.

Thanks a lot. I need a car that will make the hair on the back of my neck stand up, so I think I'll be happy.

What did you have before?

I have both a M3 and a C5Z

I spent LOTS of time searching and researching, and I found out the M3 was the better pic.

Given, I wanted a toy and I got a Vette. I made two right choices!!!

Both are great!

Well, I've had an M3 that was heavily modified that I used on track days, but without spending some serious $$$, it's hard to get anymore power. The Z06 seems like a perfect platform to start with so I can grow into the car and progress with modification. I think I will have a lot of fun learning how to drive such a different car.

I just hope I find the right car soon cause I'm getting the jitters.

Welcome to the forum. You'll love the Vette, plus the LS engines make power with minor mods. Good luck

I understand.
I have a 04 M3 that has been modded to the tilt. S/C, suspension, exhaust, stereo etc etc etc etc etc, and even a wide body
BUT.... it still only has so far to go. PLUS it was super expensive to do everything.

I am not saying a Vette is cheap but my Vette is modded to the tilt to. S/C, suspension, exhaust, stereo, etc etc etc etc, and it has a custom hard top/ targa top. BUT..... it will be well into the 500rwhp for not as much as I spent on the M3. To get near that with my M3 I would still have another 5k I think to go (2500 for the 500hp S/C upgrade and the other 2500 in misc).

Given, the M3 will probably kill the Vette in the corners, but the Vette will kill the M3 in the straights.

Plus, I am making the Vette a fun car to drive, meaning that I am not creating it to hook up as much as the WB M3, this way if I wanna break the rear end loose and spin around I can.

Both are great!!
Just wish sometimes I had 2 arses to drive them at the same time

Wow, you have spent some serious money on yours. One day I'll be able to go FI, but my wallet only allows me so much.

Yeah, more money then I can even imagine.

BUT in the end I think you will find the Vette more "FUN" and more affordable.

I LOVE the way the M3 controls the road and is dialed into every part of driving (hence "the ultimate driving machine"), but the Vette is enjoyable too since I can easily make the car go sideways and doughnuts and take off and so on.

So I look at one as a master of the road, and the other as a roller coaster on the road.
