Default hello

HI im new here i recently aquired a 76 vette very rough i might add.My dad also has a 68 L-88 vette. I will be needing some info and parts i figure this is a good place to start. I am a drag racer and plan to build my car to do both street and strip somewhere around the 400 hp range for starters. My first question is how much hp can a stock rear end hold and what is the weakest link?
thanks Josh

Welcome to the Forum!!!!!!!!!!! If you're doing a project the folks in C3 Tech and C3 General will help you out. If you haven't already been there just pop in and intro yourself and start asking questions. Best of luck and enjoy the Forums.

Welcome to the forum. If your gonna put that much power to the pavement you might want to get your rear end built. Don't run slicks with that much power and stock rear. There are a couple of threads on this topic over in the C3 perf./tech section.
