Hello- I just flew to PA and bought a 2007 black C6 convertible with 14k miles in perfect condition. My last couple vehicles have been SUVs (I'm keeping my Navigator), so this is my first fast one since I owned a couple 1994 Z28s (at different times), where I followed an active forum and performance mods, etc.
I live in Lakeland but go to Tampa frequently and Orlando occasionally. I'm interested in learning more about the cars, performance mods, etc. I'm 33, I have a 9 1/2 year old son, and I work in insurance.
Maybe I should have read a couple of these before I started to type my own so I would know what to say but that's me!!

p.s. I think I need this 3m Clear Bra thing for love bugs. I did a search and found someone who will do it for $695. Is that good or should I be able to get a better deal?

$695 for the clear bra is pretty typical, depending of course on how much of the car you are going to cover. The big thing to remember is putting that stuff on takes knowledge, talent and practice. Make sure whoever you choose to do it on your car already knows how to do it, especially on Corvettes. The installer is everything. Don't settle for someone who is going to use your car for practice. Get references.
Start hanging out in C6 General and ask questions there. There are a lot of owners there willing and able to help out. Have fun!
