Greetings from Denver! I have toyed around with owning a Corvette for literally decades, ever since working for a Chevy dealership on the washrack as a teenager and having the pleasure of driving several to and from the lot. Life goes on, family, kids, career in the military, and now I am what could be best described as an empty nester. I have a rock-climbing Jeep Wrangler for the Colorado winters, and my present baby, a 2005 Magnum with some custom body work running a Vortech supercharger with 8.5 psi boost. I recently took the Magnum up to Spearfish, SD, to look at a property where I may develop a Brewpub. I was there the same weekend as the Black Hills Corvette rally; and spent hours on the main drag in Spearfish drooling over the variety of 'vettes. I also played around with a few on the highway with my Magnum, and was given several thumbs up from Corvette owners who obviously respect cool lines and decent power.
Well, long story short, I was bitten by the bug and have begun to shop around for my first Corvette. I favor C3, C5, and C6 lines, stoopid power, and either Red or Black. As soon as I post this I am going to go to the FS forum; but if anyone can point me to resources in my area I would appreciate it.
Here is my Magnum; a Corvette to match would be awesome!
Welcome to the Forum!!!!!!!!!!! Magnum you have there! Best of luck finding a Vette that lights your fire. Enjoy the Forums.
Besides the various generation For Sale Secitons you might want to check out the Mountain-Prairie Regional Forum where local members might be able to help you find something:
Seems too good to be true, based on what I am looking for. Advice? I have tons of frequent flier miles and OK City is only 10 hours from Denver, probably closer to seven in this wonderful beast.
I looked at the for sale post on the car you are interested in, it looks like one mean Corvette. If you've got the miles, go give it a test drive! Welcome to the Corvette Forum, sounds like you are enjoying it already!
