Just got it tonight. Have about 20 miles on it today (long test drive). I absolutely love it! Will be hanging around here for a while getting tons of info.
Thanks for everyone who sent me information and responded to my threads in the general C5 section and the tech section!
Here it is, camera phone pic at the Used BMW dealership (The guy traded in this vette and a lincoln navagator plus cash for an M5... sucker!).
FYI Advantage Certified Auto Group in Manassas, VA is a top of the line used euro car dealer. Really great people and service!
2002 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe
6-Speed Manual Transmission
Loaded with everything (climate control, HUD, power memory seats and steering wheel, etc)
Says it has "Performance Suspension Package" But I don't see Z51 anywhere and I don't have magnetic selective ride control so not quite sure what that means.
Car has a new set of beefy Michelin tires on it. 6 month 6k mile warranty from the dealer.
I have about 60 miles on it today and it has really been a delight.
Only have a couple small issues and the dealer is taking care of one of them!
The glass top is junk, the passenger side 4 inches is peeling off and there are cracks only noticeable from inside in direct sunlight or streetlamp at night that go throughout the entire window. I hear it is fairly common on the glass top's though so I couldn't peg that on the dealer.
The display on the climate control is so dim that it is barely readable even at night. Dealer has ordered a new unit and is replacing it so I'm good to go there.
Small wind noise on the corner of each glass... looks like the previous owner trimmed the weatherstripping to make it look better with the top off so a simple fix.
I had a 2002 Camaro SS 6-speed... I blew up the transmission in a few k miles because I beat that thing to hell, I also fooled around with speed shifting and doing burnouts through gears. I am DEFINITELY going to be easier on the vette... I'm 24 years old and am going to drive it like a grandma, and when I do get in it... no funny stuff shifting... haha I'll let the motor do the work and just enjoy the ride.
Thanks again for the warm welcomes.
