New guy searching for a vette

Hey guys, new guy from AL here... looking at unloading my current vehicle and finding a c5 in white with a targa and 6spd.

Here is the current ride:

Looking for everyone to help me out learning about these cars, as I have been into imports more than anything.

HAHA...well here is what I know so far:

STI: expensive to upgrade
VETTE: equal if not less to upgrade
STI: expensive to maintain
VETTE: probably about the same, cept more for tires/brakes possibly.
STI: Small ass interior for a 6'3" guy, I can really only carry 2 comfortably
VETTE: screw the 3rd wheel they get the hatch

So...Payments, insurance, maintenance, is all probably around the same.

I just "look" better according to everyone after sitting in a black on black c5 the other day.

Now...performance mods...I would spend roughly 1200 on a decent turboback exhaust for the car, not to mention the 600 cobb accessport.

where are good spots to look for bolt ons?

I would only MAYBE do intake/headers/exhaust if at all...probably just a nice looking intake, and a decent stereo, keep it stock outside, and just use it as my DD.

You MIGHT be in for a surprise on insurance. I don't know how old you are or your driving record but.....most members here find that insurance on a Vette is very much cheaper than most cars.

I am 27, have 1 accident from when I was around 21, and no points, accident was forgiven, I have pretty darn good rates.
