I am a new member but I have been reading this forum for a little while. I had bought a 1970 maroon vette myself as a teenager in around 1977. It was only around $4700.00. Before I bought it the owner replaced the 454 with a crate 427 L88 engine. I know that made it not original but I was young and did not care the car was amazing!!
Well after children and Sonoco 260 gas was gone. (For those who don't know the L88 had ~12.1 compression so I needed to use ultra high octane gas). I sold it. Now the kids are grown and I am getting the itch again. Would like a Maroon type color with black int. C5 or C6 in the future. Do not have the money right now as I am paying for college.

Welcome to the Forum!!!!!!!!!! Best of luck getting back into a Vette! Things have changed a lot especially with the C6. The C2's are my favorite generation but my C6 is fabulous and I love it. Enjoy the Forums.
