Welcome to the forum Robert

Congratulations to you on becoming an Eagle Scout. That's a difficult achievement. I have advised and supported several young men in my area and it really gives me pleasure to attend the Eagle Scout award ceremonies.

Best of luck. When I was 17 I paid for a 1970 vette it was around 1977. It was a big block 427 (the original motor was a 454 but that was replaced before I bought it). Just don't get caught up in every person you see wanting to race. What someone told me back then was knowbody beats vettes.

Congrats again on the Vette! You have a unique 91' and one that you can enjoy for years.

Welcome to the forum. At 47 I still get engine revs at stoplights. Just think to yourself, "they know that you know that they know, who the victor will be. So word of advice, Just keep it in the Know." Congrats on being an Eagle Scout. That is not an easy level of scouting to accomplish. My son is working towards that goal himself.

Welcome again!!!!

Congratulations! I fell in love with vettes when I was 16 but couldn't afford one then. I had to wait awhile (a long while--lol) before i coould purchase one. It was worth the wait. Be careful!

I'm barely a member of the forum, but am an Eagle Scout of 22 years, former DE, current ASM, and father of an 11 YO Tenderfoot. Welcome! Congratulations on the Eagle and the Vette. You'll alway be an Eagle, not the same with the Vette. At 20 YO, while innocently racing, I totaled my RX-7 and sent my passenger to the ICU and rehab. Not a pretty story. Just keep a level head. I like the Sunday and Prom advice above, so take the racing to the track. I'm hoping to make my first Vette purchase in the next 6 months...
