Default GM dosent really seem to want to sell cars

Hello All

Just got my first brand new car last week, and was fortunate enought to make it my dream car, a Corvette. That being said, GM didnt make it easy. I realize that after just graduating college last may, only being in my job for 8mo, and not having a large ammount of credit history, but all I had was good would make it kind of iffy to get the loan without a cosigner. I really wanted to do this on my own, so I waited a while and saved up enought that i was able to put over 25% cash down and they still wouldnt approve it saying that I just need someone with history to cosign with me. Eventually I had my mom, who doesnt make 25% of what i do put her name on it, as the deals were good and as i said before, like every little boy in america, it is the dream car.

Sorry for the rant, but was wondering what ppl were thinkin of this

Its not GM really... its the credit markets. The economy is terrible right now and the automakers and banks are taking a beating. Dont take it personal... its just going to be a lot tougher from here on out to get anything financed.

Congrats on your car though. I am sure you will enjoy it.

Hi and welcome to the forum. It's unfortunate that it was so hard to get your vette but now that you have it, ENJOY that beautiful car.

Welcome Aboard! Enjoy your new car! GM does more than enough things wrong on their own but this time I think your argument is with the finance world. Anyway, you have a great car and believe it or not, in the scheme of things it is a great value! Enjoy!
