The search is over! I am now the happy owner of a 2001 Pewter A4 Coupe. I pick it up next Saturday and will post some pictures after we get it home.
Let the enjoyment begin!

For all of you who welcomed me - - Thank you very much. It looks like a great place to find my first vette and while the search continues, I do have some pretty good leads.
Again - -thanks everyone.
Joe
For a 62 year old who has been looking at Corvettes with a wishful eye since the early '60's - - it's taken awhile, but I am finally going to fulfill that dream. I have some good friends who own several vettes, and they are being helpful and in fact steered me here.
I am slowly coming up to speed, but it is a steep hill for an old dog. There seems to be a lot of lingo that I haven't picked up yet. Took me about a week for the light to come on as to what a vert is (lol).
I am looking for a 2001 to 2004 C-5, preferably a coupe with an automatic transmission. (my wife can't drive a stick, and she has a 50% vote, i.e. veto power!) My plan is to take it slow and try to find the one I want at the price thats right. So - - wish me luck!

Reason: Bought a C5
Welcome to the Forum!!!!!! There are a lot of very knowledgeable and helpful folks around here so read and enjoy. Get yourself over to the C5 General section and maybe the C5 For Sale section. Have fun, be safe.

Welcome Joe, 62 is a good age, I got my C5 last year at 64. I had a 72 years ago. Come over to Lake Gaston and I can show you what to look for in a C5. My wife has yet to drive mine but she loves to ride with the top down. I recommed a convertible! Stan
