Hi everyone!
My name is Troy and I am from Altoona, PA.
I am farly knowledgable about cars (chevy's mostly). I built up an L98 equipped '87 Camaro and had it for 13+ years. I rebuilt/replaced almost every piece of that car and it ran beyond great for me. I just sold it to begin a new venture.
I am about to buy my first Vette. I am heading out to Chicago to finalize the paperwork on Fri.
It's a LeMans Blue/Cashmere '05 Z51 auto with only 7100 mi on the ticker. There is no "wart" on the top as the car did not come equipped with Onstar (I found that to be odd. I thought all '05's had the "wart").
It seems to be perfect inside and out.
I don't plan to modify it too much and I probably won't do anything to it for a few years at least. This will be my "fair weather ride" and my "blow off some steam machine". But I have no intentions on racing this like I did with my Camaro. I may take it to the drag strip once just to see what it'll do but other than that, my intentions are simply to enjoy it on nice days.
I have been reading quite a bit of the stickies on here this evening and have a few concerns. Rather than list all of my questions I thought it might be best if I listed the VIN# and maybe some of you would be kind enough to give me a "heads-up" on any critical issues I may be facing.
The VIN# is 1G1YY24U055127497
I read about the crank pulley nut/washer coming loose, the targa panel flying off, the brake line recall and a few other "less lethal" issues some of you have experienced.
I am completely new to the C6 world so any helpful info you could give me would be GREATLY appreciated.
It's great to (soon) be a part of the Corvette community. It is also a relief for a "newbe" to have a place such as this to go for help or to just shoot the breeze. I look forward to your posts! There is a lot of good stuff here!

Now that is a lot of brass air fittings http://www.liangdianup.com/subpages/airfitting_1.htm there is just about every type
of air fitting that you could want. Wholesale prices too. I guess these could be used as small water pipe fitting also. I
used some of the parts to make my babington wvo burner.
