I too am new to the Forum, I'm looking to purchase a C5 but need to know a little more about them, I will use it regularly, would like to know if there are any drawback to doing so. I don't mind doing routine upkeep, I'm very hands on, I've had street rods for 30 yrs, but have always wanted a vette. Any help is welcome.

Welcome to the forum. I purchased my 98 in July. I had a 72' and soldit ten years ago. I was able to fix every little thing that seems to be part of this vintage and fortunately there does not seem to be any major hidden problems. This forum is a good place, especially the C5 tech section. You mentioned that you do your own work so that will be a real plus. Good Luck!
