glasscar is gone. I need help with care taking of the Vette.
This is Mrs. Glasscar. Richard died Ocotber 1st in our home surrounded by all of us who loved him, including the ex-wife, whom I decided to invite. C'mon, it was past time to get over whatever it was.
He'd been sick a long time and sucking up the pain, as all you amazing tough guys do. I am still in shock. I believe he'll be hitting the garage door opener and sauntering in soon with the call of the wild, "Let's go somewhere!"
I am NOT selling the Vette. I will figure out how to drive it since I was always the passenger. I will read every blasted bottle of Zaino and learn how to wash it as he did.
He did all the maintenance. I can't do it. We live in Calif. Central Valley. Where, to whom, should I take it. He was ALWAYS loving it. I want to do him proud.
He wanted a party, not a funeral. We will have that Sat. Oct. 15th.
Raise a glass to glasscar.

I'm so sorry to learn of your loss!!
Wow, you're an amazing woman...he was a lucky guy to have someone that appreciated something that he obviously loved. I think if I passed, the first thing on the chopping block would be my beloved vette. My wife won't drive it (okay by me), because she thinks it's dangerous.
My advice would be not to get too neurotic about taking care of it (most of us guys are), and just do your best. The most important part will be getting it out on the open road and enjoying it, which is something he would certainly enjoy.

Keep the faith!
My condolences on your loss! I think you are doing the right thing, and I'm sure your husband is smiling down on you while you try to figure it all out.
I do have one suggestion - I think you should post your request in the Regional/Northern California section of the Forum. That will get you more local attention and advice than this general section. I know several folks from the Central Valley post regularly there!
Also, did he belong to a Corvette club? If so, there should be many contacts/friends there with good advice.
If not, the Western States Corvette Council (WSCC) web site lists 4 clubs that may be close enough for you to contact and get advice from:
Lodi: www.corvettesoflodi.com
Fresno: www.corvettesoffresno.com
Visalia: www.sierracorvettes.com
Ceres: www.cencalcorvettes.com
Best wishes on your Corvette journey!

Sorry for your loss
I agree with the above posts, if you don't have a local car club to learn some detail pointers from hire a detail professional and pay attention as they detail the car. Most of these folks will be glad to give you some pointers on how to keep it in good shape.
For maintenance find a good local shop to help you keep it in top shape.

And also remember you can always post questions here at Corvetteforum. I'll change your user ID to Mrs. Glass Car so there will be no confusion with your future posts.

So sorry to hear of your husbands passing.
Rest assured that he is in a better place now and no longer in pain.
I will hoist 3 fingers of 12 yr. old single malt Scotch to him.
I'm sure that any and all questions you have in the future will be answered.

Sorry for your loss. Prayers to you and your family.
PS Enjoy the car - sounds like it's in good hands.
