Was watching a special on the World Trade Center rebuilding tonight...then decided to check these pages. As an Iraq vet, I always feel a connection to my fellow servicemen in the middle east. But watching this TV special really made me appriciate this young man's sacrifice. It brought me to tears thinking about what he gave and the reason we went there. Thanks Nicholas.
See you on the high ground.

My Condolences, I'm a C-17 Pilot at McGuire AFB, and I drive through Manchester every day on the way to the base. The signs and show of support by the various organizations, like the Little League, Fire Dept, etc reflect the respect and love that Nick had earned in town. My Cousin was a pallbearer at Nick's funeral (Matt Heinis) I've flown many a fallen hero back home in my jet and it never is easy.

So very sorry to hear about the loss of your nephew. It's really hard to hear about our young men and women losing their lives over there but I know they are doing so for our Country. These days the word hero is thrown around a lot but Nicholas is a TRUE HERO and we owe him so much for laying down his life for our freedom. Thanks for posting his picture so I could put a face with with a name, that makes it even more special. Love his picture with his dog and that BIG ol smile on his face. Sounds like he was a great young man and we have lost a very fine Marine. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.
