My beautiful 20 year old niece killed 2/14/10
My niece, Celeste Streutker, was killed at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010, Valentine's Day. She was a 20 year old model and a very sweet and beautiful girl. I will miss her coming over to my home with her sister and playing Guitar Hero with my two sons. They all were very close.
She was a passenger in a '98 Corolla when her boyfriend took a curve too fast and lost it. Crashed into a Harley with husband and wife riding on it (husband was killed too), then into the side of a rock hill. The boyfriend and the wife are in critical condition. Total tragedy.
Celeste loved riding in my Corvette. I was going to teach her to drive the stick next time she came over.
It's going to be tough for awhile. My heart is not into working on the car now. The passion is gone. The car is for fun times, not sadness.
I won't be commenting any further in this thread. I just needed to vent and ask that everyone drive safely out there. Life is fragile.
Even though this is a tragedy, her family are devout Christians and know that she is in a better place now. We will miss her terribly.

I am so sorry for your and your family's loss......My G-d what a tragedy.
Prayers sent for all of you, especially to your sons, loss can really do a job on young people. May they remember the good times.

It is so sad when lives are taken at such a young age my prayers are with her family and all of the families affected.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I lost a beautiful 23 year old niece to a murderous ex-boyfriend years ago. At the time, all my cars and everything I owned could have burned to the ground and I wouldn't have cared. The passion will return in time. The pain never completely goes away, but the tears eventuallly give way to rememberances of good times, funny stories, and love that is eternal. Hang in there. We're all here pulling for you and your family. God bless and keep you close in this most difficult time.
