Default Brian Powell/C6400hp

I am saddened to report that we have lost one of our Corvette Brothers, Brian Powell aka C6400hp passed on Sept. 28th. 2009,
he was a true Corvette Enthusiast as well as a great guy.
Brian had an enormous passion for cars and road racing and was
a fierce competitor at the track.
Brian will be dearly missed by his family, friends and the Corvette Community.

I have notes from Brian from even a couple years ago because of his knowledgeable and great advice that he gave to me. I'm saddened for his family, friends, and those who knew him.

Sorry to hear of this. I noticed that his wife passed in May of this year also. Very sad.

What the hell happened?????

I just saw him at Petit at the Corvette Corral. WOW.

I can't believe it. Truly a terrible loss.

RIP Buddy. We'll all miss you.

Not the same Brian Powell. They are the same age and have the same name but the baseball player was a former pitcher for the Tigers and Astros and died of a a self-inflected gunshot in Florida.

tomorrow will be the anniversary of my son's death, one year ago we had just returned from petit lemans where he was a winner at the corvette corral car show Olly gavin said "Brian wants his c6 to go fast, real fast. and he was right.
Brian loved corvettes and all forms of racing especially road racing ,he was at home at the track, and loved to compete.in 2004 he owned an s2000 honda and was a member of the north texas s2000 club and got me started autocrossing in my 88 c4 corvette. we attended many events together and always had something of a competition going, but he was a much better driver than i and ended up teaching me much".
he was the one who got me to my first hpde where i quickly passed everyone only to go off the track backwards at the end of a long straight, his comment "did you forget how to drive ?"
i guess i am kinda rambling but there are so many memories that come flooding in .it is difficult
he was my youngest son and my best friend.i cannot begin to express how much i miss him.
john
