Her and Zora's life story are legendary, both larger than life!
I had the opportunity to spend a few minutes with her at Carlisle a few years ago and it is a time I will never forget
My custom plate is AYE ZORA
When I knew I would be meeting her, I brought the plate, not knowing what her reaction might be
When she saw the plate, she took it in both hands, stared at, a slight tear formed and she looked up and said "Zora would love this"
She autographed the plate and we talked for a few minutes. She wanted to know if I knew Zora, which I did not except through an avid exploration of all his exploits. I mentioned one or two and she filled in some details I didn;t know.
Finally, I had to move on, lots of other people wanted to be with her
A memorial service will be held for Elfi Arkus-Duntov next Saturday, November 1 at 10:30 am at the Verheyden Funeral Home, 16300 Mack Avenue in Grosse Point Park, Michigan.
The web site for the funeral home is www.verheyden.org Donations on her behalf can be made to the American Cancer Society.
When you think of Elfi.............. Smile. She'd like it that way !!

SO SORRY to hear that.
She was a VERY nice lady. I met her while my wife and I were at the Carlilse parade. She and Chip Miller (RIP) were sitting in his C-1. (I forget what year it was.)
Shes with Zora now and I'm sure their watching over the Corvette Family together.
