I am so sorry for your family.
May the Lord truly comfort you in this time of sorrow.
America must do something about this ignorant drinking and driving. A 20 year old drunk girl caused a accident that killed a semi-truck driver and shut down a major expressway for 8 hours here in Louisville. The sick part is it was her 2nd dui in 4 months. Then the judge let her out on 200k bond. What in the world is wrong with our system?

Rene' - I am so sorry for you and your family. I cannot begin to imagine what it is like. Please keep us advised on the prosecution of the driver. Perhaps a few thousand e-mails from CF will help the Prosecutor to understand that this is not a case which should be plead down.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I accompany you in your time of sorrow.
I will ask in prayer that she always be in Heaven's light.
Trust me that she will still be with and around you guys. My Dad passed away but sometimes special things happen to me that have no other explanation other than that he was visiting me!
You'll know when it happens to you. Also, don't stop talking to her.
Maybe go somplace by yourself where it's quiet and just visit with her.
Hey fellow forum folks, maybe there is something we can do for her and 81 cali?
Some good can come out of this sadness to honor her.
Maybe a brick at the museum or pledging to not ever drink and drive or ???.

My 28 yo brother died after a really terrible drinking and driving accident. His girlfriend lived. She still drinks and drives...
I'm so sorry for your loss. It's so hard. It has been 5 yrs now and I still miss him everyday.

Just found this Thread. My heart goes out to you and your family on the loss of this beautiful young girl. 
I thank God I haven't had to experience such a tragedy. I have 3 grown daughters and 6 grandkids (2 driving) and sometimes worry something may happen to them.

My prayers are with you and your family.............I quit drinking and driving when I woke up behind a gas station on a Saturday morning. I thanked the Lord for not letting me kill anyone. I may have an occasional drink... but never drunk and never driving.
