If you re-organize your photos within Photobucket, move them to different folders perhaps, the link would change so the old one wouldn't work (?)

Yup - what Dave said. Another possibility would be if you deleted the photo from Photobucket altogether.

I don't know about photobucket but the place that I have them you can mark them private. If you do that they will not show up here when you post them.
