a1.interclick.com and some other typically shorter thing like/similar to jbr.lsr something..... as I load most typically OT or PRC, or even C3 sections....my machine hangs up on them and in the lower bar, it's saying waiting on A1.interclick or that other server......while the forum itself flashes by like crazy, but untill those other turkeys respond, the top banner is loaded but nothing else....and the machine is still loading, for many seconds, until time out.... sometimes I just keep hitting reload untill it finally clicks home....helps if in rapid succession too..... anyone??

I don't know, but I have noticed the very same thing.

Most of these URL's are for the various ads and banners that appear on the Forum pages. I see a lot of "ad.doubleclick net" causing slowdowns in the pages completley loading.

Sometimes those servers have a lot of activity and it takes time for the images to load on the page. Not everything resides on the IB servers.

Not all of the "shorter" URLs are for ads or banners. Some of them are required for the site to fully function as you would know it. For example, the smiles will not work if ibserv is not allowed. The Supporting status avatars are also served from ibserv.
