Default Database access problems?

Not sure what's happening, but I keep getting page loads when I come into the forum that display the page header and no content below. At first I thought it might be a Firefox issue, so I tried MS Internet Explorer. Same thing.

I created a VBulletin based forum myself a few years ago (coded everything myself using PHP & MySQL on a previous board too). It looks like database access might be failing, so the forum contents don't make it out (only header is displayed). Maybe a max number of connections to the data base is being exceeded.

Is anyone else seeing the empty pages?

No problems for me. I've been on at various times throughout the day every day. Haven't seen any other complaints either. Sounds like your issue is at your end. Hope you figure it out soon.

Same here. No problems when accessing the forum several different times off and on today. I do normally use Firefox.

If the max number of connections were met, or if there just about any database issue, users will normally see the standard vBulletin database error. In addition, header information also comes from the database - not just the forum table itself.

I notice my version of Firefox hangs up when the Google Ads load - as well as some of the other ads on the site... This page looks to hit a bunch of other URL's and renders only after their completing all their Http500 get commands...

Get AdBlockerPlus for Firefox. It's an addon that will fix that problem.

I use AdBlockerPlus and NoScript. They help with many things on many sites and NoScript can save you from bad sites. Just sayin'.
