It does seem to be quicker today, but not like the "days of old".

no it's not. Took 2 minutes to open a page and 1 minute to open a thread. That is not fast. I'm going back to work

Yep, back to the old AOL dial up speed again, possibly slower .
Glad I’m leaving for Carlisle tomorrow.

Hopefully when I return the forum is running faster than a snail on fly-paper.

PS the recent topics are still way messed up!

The speed issue seemed to improve this a.m., but now it's back to slow. It took almost two minutes to download the entire main menu page. It downloaded the forums in groups of 2 or 3 before it was completed.
It took another minute to download this thread.

Did someone forget to feed the mice to keep the wheel going?

I hope submit reply is faster.

The performance issues returned about 2:30 p.m. CDT. The tech folks are continuing to work on a resolution.

The forum has become frustratingly slow on the usual computers I use to access (one running Win2K and the other WinXP) at different locations, each with dsl. So is there some sort of explanation? Did the tech guys install the equivalent of a throttle body airfoil to try and crank up performance? Why mess with something that was working just fine?

If you mean takes 45+ seconds to change pages I agree with you. I have RR, cannot imagine what it’s like on dial up. The recent topics is totally off the wall also. The new ads work great though!

It appears this problem is above their ability level to fix. Hopefully they get somebody to work on this that knows what they are doing, WAY MORE time has elapsed than necessary. After all, this move was planned for a long time!

I talked with a lot of Forum members at Carlisle and all are disgusted by the lack of progress of fixing this forum, (that did not need fixing)

I know if I took this long to fix something I broke my boss would have fired me and got someone that could fix it!

Download speed is back to very slow today for me...very frustrating!

Has anyone else noticed that some topics/replies from Sunday, August 24th have disappeared? I can't find them in my recent topics to follow up on further replies. This is what I get if I ask for last day or last two days...

I run 3meg dsl speed and there is a long delay before it will open the page, i noticed if after you have gone to a certain thread, if you click the go button on the address bar it will speed it up a bit and open a little quicker, is the CF running out of bandwidth space??

This is pretty pathetic how slow this forum is. At what point do you just say **** it and put back the old software until you can actually fix the problem?

I'd love to see the forum go back to the old setup. Not just because the old setup configuration was flawless, but also because these new features are ridiculous. Do we really need social groups and friend requests? This ain't freakin' MySpace.
