I cannot get attachments to work. I successfully upload in the test forum but they do not appear in the attachment drop down in any post nor do I see any attachments in the usre CP.

I went to the testing section, I saw your attachment, and I clicked on it and had the spreadsheet come up.

Appears to work. If you expected a "picture" of the spreadsheet to appear, I don't think it works that way (except for pics).

It worked in the test forum as I said. It did not work when I tried to:
A: see the file in attachments drop down - I still don't Click the dropdown and the list is empty.

B: Tried to attach the SS to a post that I was answering (gent wanted some info on alignment specs and this SS has them).

I also tried to attach to this post - to no avail.

Edit: I see it now. It does not appear in the preview, so I didn't get past that point.

The question remains - now that I have the attachment uploaded, why cannot I use it in other posts by selecting it from the dropdown list.

Are you talking about this dropdown from the posting window? If so, it SEEMS like it should work. Mine is empty. But it appears it doesn't work like we think it should. If this is what you are talking about, I can forward this to the techs for a possible answer.

As far as the UserCP, it appears that is only for deleting them.

I've uploaded the same ones here in the help section mnay times (redundant).
