[se Mi] Hell Cruise 2004!!!
Yes, it's back!
It's time to get all you city-folk out here into the country before Hell freezes over!
That unofficial "end of the season" cruise, chow, and chat-fest is back for the third time this year! With a little luck and lots of participation, it'll be our best and biggest cruise yet.
Here's what I know:
Date: October 9th (Rain Date: Oct 10th)
Time:
Departing from the parking lot in front of Barnes and Nobles at 6 Mile and Haggerty at 10:45 (so arrive at 10:30)
Departing the Old Deweys at 11:30 am (so arrive by 11:15)
Meeting Location: Same as last year. Barnes & Noble at Haggerty & 6 mile for the East Siders. The old Dewey's on N. Territorial Rd, West of US23 for everyone.
Cruise Route: Hell, naturally! The route is almost complete. I'll be picking some of the best roads the Hell area has to offer. And for a nominal fee, I'll hand out maps this year
NOTE: We will NOT be stopping to eat in Hell this year!!! That's just too much of a pain for the size of our group.
Final Destination is Bakers in Milford
Stay Tuned!!!!

Actually I was thinking Kensington. Get a spot with a pavilion thing maybe.

Only problem is logistics with transporting a gas grill, or dealing with charcoal. I'm putting together a luncheon for work and we opted for Milford park - free access. I was also thinking that if this ended up being on a Sunday, we could cruise over to Bakers if we were in the Milford area. Not sure when their weekly cruises end though.

I'm not sure when Bakers shuts down for the season.

Yeeeeehaaawww! Count me in Dave!
I agree, lunch at Bakers would be better than the Damn Site Inn. It's a great place to go, and they really cater to large Vette groups/cruises with segregated parking, etc.
However, whenever I've done cruises to Baker's before and you have a large group, you can only order certain things from the menu which means we don't have the ability to order from their full menu. (Things like grilled chicken/hamburgers, easy to cook stuff is all you can order) Maybe this has changed, I'm not sure, but you might want to check.
And yes, PLEASE have maps this time! If it wasn't for Chris, (Fevre) I would have ended up in no-mans land! Let me know if you need help making maps or printing, I'll be glad to lend a hand.
Really looking forward to this cruise!

The '69's interior is still in many pieces....if I do not get it back together for next year, I think I should go to the real "H", "E" double hockey sticks. Have fun everyone.

And tell me again why you need an interior?
Give me a shout if you need a hand re-installing it

I think I can make it as long as my low oil pressure doesn't cause any more issues. Zack, if my wife can't go, you're welcome to ride along with me.
For the city folk, it might be easiest to meet in the parking lot in front of Barnes and Nobles at 6 Mile and Haggerty (Take the 6 Mile exit off of 275, go west ~3/4 mile. The lot is on the northwest corner of 6 and Haggerty.) From there, we can go west on 6 Mile, south on Sheldon, and west on North Territorial to meet up with the rest of the group at Dewey's.

A group of us went to Hell and back last weekend.
a lot of traffic cause it was an awesome day!
A stupid motorcycle pulled out in front of us and slowed us down and ruined the fun curves on the BEST part!
But I am trying to work on my schedule so I can go on your route!
