I just bought a new Silverado HD truck and would like to get the windows tinted. The shop I went to for my old truck is out of business. I know that a couple of years ago Raina and Collin organized a window tint gathering with a fellow from up north, however I was hoping there was someone closer to Joliet.

Hey David,

Our tinting was done by Sunset Tinting, but the nice part was that they actually come to you. So they might be worth a try; their number is 630-971-1700, and ask for Brad. Hopefully they'd just come out to your place. We've been very happy with the job he did so far; it's been well over 2 years, and I haven't had any trouble with the tint.

A friend of mine is a pro tinter for Ztech (formally known as Ziebart) and he does side work for me and my friends. He is based out of Naperville. He charges half what you would pay through a shop. Probably in the area of $125-150 for the truck. Let me know if you want a referral.

How about the stereo and alarm guys on Jefferson Street near Broadway, next to Bobans? I haven't been by there lately but I thought they did tinting.
