Best Vette Dealership in Michigan
I am interested in getting a Vette (lease or purchase) as soon as I get rid of my IS300. Which Chevrolet (Corvette) dealership offer the best deals in Michigan.
Thanks!

There may be 2 answers to your question - I think the best "deal" in the Detroit area would probably be from Les Stanford (Dearborn), as they seem to always have the largest inventory. That having been said, many here on the forum prefer Jack Cauley (W. Bloomfield), as they reportedly have better support & service. I can't speak for Cauley, but I haven't had any issues with Stanford service, which has so far just been for oil changes.
BTW, welcome to the forum, and good luck with your search! :seeya

I buy all of my cars from Buff Whelan at 18 and VanDyke. The salesperson I deal with always gets me better deals then anyone else and he gives me great customer service. I would recommend him to anyone. IM me for his name. I also know a great Used Car salesperson from there also.

Be careful at Stanford...very pushy, fast talkers.....If I were you I would figure out exactly what you want, year, model, color ect......and search around........
unless money is no object you would be surprized what you can find if you take your time........I found a 2000 Covert (this past July), the color I was looking for inside & out with only 1234 miles on it, for $34,000.00.
Stanford was going to sell me the same car (2001) for 45,000.00 and it had 46,000 miles on it........search the net and see whats out there, instate and out of state............good luck

Cauley gets my vote!
They were the ONLY dealership willing to discount Millenium Yellow 2 years ago, when I was shopping for my C5. No hassles or anything! I called them up, asked if they discounted Yellow coupes, and they said no problem, c'mon on in! Not to mention, the excellent customer service i've received, before and AFTER the sale!
The Les Stanford salesperson on the other hand, was a total jerk! He literally laughed when I asked about a discount! :mad
Good luck with your search!
If you need a referral at cauley, send me an IM, and i'll hook you up!

I'm good friends with the service manager at Cauley's, too. I kow he's VERY committed to making sure that you're happy if there is ever a need for service. I've never taken mine there (never needed to), I know him from outside the dealership.

Jack Cauley is your best bet. I am still waiting for Les Stanford to return four phone calls. There service is a joke. :seeya

When shopping for my 2001 I spoke to a person at Les Stanford and it sounded like we had a deal. The next week I flew into Detroit on business and went over to the dealership. I was very disappointed when the salesman started to play games.

For what its worth,
Being a Speedshop owner, ocasionally cars that have been..uhh well "tweaked" by our shop will need warranty work. All I will say is Cauley by far has the best customer service on vehicles that others would turn away at the drop of a hat. We highly reccomend them to our Corvette Clientel.

I purchased mine from Buff Whelan - no problems with service. In the future I would probably go with Cauley for their good warranty service reputation.

Have you considered private owner? You can get a loan from capitaloneauto.com (they used to be peoplefirst.com) Stanford's prices are inflated - moreso for a C4 than C5, and I know you're looking for a C5. Just keep in mind the large number of C5s you see on the road during MI winters - they are probably leases, and they show up in dealerships (some private owners drive theirs in winter also). Moisture from rain and winter salt splash can affect electrical components, and lead to premature failures. :seeya

Bought from Les used 2000 with 5 k miles perfect new condition.
Mike Kuss gets the vote from jack cauley for service
If I were buying new it would be Jack Cauley.
Les has the best used vette lot around.
Don't forget to check with Maxi Price in Monroe Georgia ,great prices

Try Doug Gogolewski at Riverside Chev in Escanaba MI [ yes I know it's in the Upper Peninsula]. Doug is a very straight shooter and sold me my 2002 for about $1500 over invoice - I couldn't beat his price anywhere in the country. Call doug at 1-800-654-4251 and tell him Bob Chapman sent you.

Cauley....... hands down. The dealership is now run by Jack's son Jeff, who races Corvettes. The service there specifically caters to Corvette owners. Cauley also sponsors America's Corvette Club if you are interested.
Stanford is the sponsor of the Michigan Corvette Club that was founded in 1953.
Cauley still gets my vote....

My vote is for Moran Chevrolet in Mt. Clemens MI. Bought my last 3 Corvettes from Rich Milne. Service Director Pete Micelli is most knowledgable, understanding and helpful. :flag
