I called Nick at Mid America Motorworks. They are having a Cars & Coffee next month and Funfest is scheduled for Sept 21st. They will be hosting other events, (dates to be determine), in-between and perhaps we can piggy back a CF gtg on one of those events.

I can now announce a Corvette Forum Member GTG for central Ohio. Dates for the Arthritis Foundation Classic Auto Show have been set (July 18-20) and per tradition our 12th annual Ohio CF member gtg will be at this car show on Friday July 19. Early arrivals secure our location just south of the lake under the trees with a pic nick table around 9:00. Bring food, drink and a chair. All are invited, most stay until 5 pm, others until the end of the 6 foot trophy presentations. See sticky "Ohio Events" for additional info as it becomes available.

I am in SE Wisconsin minutes from Lake Geneva, a large resort area.
This is 50 miles from City of Chicago.
This has a lot of potential and I was looking forward to meeting you and several other CF members including the legendary Steve Stone. However, our Dublin/Columbus GTG has been scheduled for July 19 with a huge Corvette gathering on the 20th and will be meeting Steve outside DC at the C2 gtg in October. THANKS, so much for the invitation and looking forward to meeting you someday.

Thanks Gixxerrman. Mike Mercury's gtg at a restaurant in Dayton draws well and the Columbus gtg has been a tradition now for 12 years. I think I will leave the idea of a Chicago/Illinois gtg to those in that area.

We were pretty lax last year on our monthly get togethers here Dayton. Hopefully we can start again either in April or May. Tim (Mike Mercury) and I would usually alternate who arranges.

Stay tuned.

everybody.

After CF stopped it's yearly Cruise-Ins, the idea for "Regional" Cruise Ins was born.
The one I did for the Great Lakes section; it turned out great; 80 Corvettes from multiple states attended.

ref:
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...finalized.html

It was a two day affair; some attended on just one of the days, some made it to both days. 1-2 years later a CF member in Indiana did something similar.

It would be nice to see everyone again; something in our overall region... once or twice per year.

Tim

Wow, nice turnout Tim @ Mike Mercury. I will certainty help you out to do it again if you decide to do so. I am getting nothing but crickets. Otherwise, hopefully I can meet you and others at one of the gtg's at a Dayton restaurant. ..

Not really sure what your expectations were.. takes a lot to organize events.. you do need definite locations and dates so folks can plan. Sounded like more of a hey let's just join up. Plan event and I am sure folks wil come out

I would absolutely love to join in on some meet-ups. I'm in Indianapolis so I'm pretty central to a lot of locations, I think planning a cars and coffee would be a good start
