What a fun journey it was today. We got on site a little later than I wanted and had to rush to get things done. Register, get a quick bite to eat, look thru the shop, and get back in the car and drive! I really wanted to chat a little more with people because that is part of the fun, but really didn't get a chance to.

Then we did not return back to the shop after the park pit stop. We kept heading east and back to CBus.

I will say I was a little concerned twice on the cruise. The first time was when I got caught at a red light in a small town and lost sight of the others in front of me. Yes, I had directions, but I wasn't really following them, and my five year old co-pilot can't read just yet let alone follow the long list of turns. Fortunately, I was able to catch up and I did not let them out of my sights. The second scare came at the round-a-bout. I was following a silver C5 and we were three quarters of the way thru when a lady probably in late 70's to early 80's just decided it was her turn and pulled out in front of the C5. They locked up and hit the horn, and I locked up right behind them. Good thing my father in law taught me that no matter how fast the Corvette goes, it better be able to stop. I don't have power brakes let alone ABS or anything else like that, but those four wheel disc brakes are strong and will stop true and straight.

Now for the photos:

These are from around the Restoration Station Shop:

We got to line up near grandpa.

Inside the shop:

Once we got to the park, the little one wanted her chance to take on the curves herself.

Since we weren't returning back to the shop, we took a couple of lake photos on the ramp real quick before heading home.

The one other part that was really fun was that there were a couple of spots where people were sitting, waiting, waving, and enjoying all the Corvettes that went by.

If anyone knows, I would love to know what the final count was. It looked like a great turn out, and was a lot of fun to be a part of.

Safe Travels Everyone!

Some don't like to search, so I thought I would post these up as inspiration:

Cool. I spotted my car in the drone footage in the second video, at the Caesar Creek rest stop.

Jeff is preparing for 400 Corvettes this year; mainly due to this event now being listed on the Corvette Museums web page...

I'm planning on it. But with 400 cars, it becomes almost unmanageable.

Whoa! 400 Corvettes on a road tour? That would really be something to see, But that does sound like a lot to try and handle.

the initial parking situation is fine; room for 500+ cars in that industrial park I'd imagine.

Interesting that only about 80% leave at 2pm with the tour group. In the past I did not leave with the tour and was surprised at how many did not go. And at the halfway point... seems about 50% go home from there... and do not end up back at Jeffs shop.

Keep fingers crossed for dry weather !

Living right here in their backyard in Springboro, I have admired the Corvette event from afar; now that I'm finally a Corvette owner, it would take a team of wild horses to keep me from going!

A little too far for me to get to springboro but if anyone talks to Jeff I have a quick funny story -

He restored a frame and pretty much made it a complete rolling chassis for me somewhere in 2007-2008. He never saw the car it was meant for.

Fast forward to 2014-15. I'm getting gas in my now completely restored corvette 85 miles from springboro and the young lady on the other side of the pump says nice car, I love corvettes. My dad works on them. He has a shop in springboro.

A little more background from Barry. Love it.

I am still planning on heading down that way on Sunday after church. I got some new belts on, and fixed the low idle speed, but in doing so my cold air flapper in the hood no longer opens at full throttle. I think I may have adjusted something to far out and now need to adjust the flapper setting. Not a big deal as I don't really go full throttle, but I used to check it when I would give it gas to fire up. Last thing I want to try and fix on Saturday before the cruise is it is running a bit rich. I need to lean it out just a bit so I don't make the people behind me smell the fuel dumping the entire time. Other than that, it will be the normal check fluids, tire pressure, lights, and off we go.

Safe Travels Everyone!

I really cant trust my C2 making the trip and getting back home. But this tour is one reason I will probably buy a 2021 C8.

Ok, I will also have some tools (normal wrenches, a few sockets, a screwdriver or two, etc....) just in case. All part of the fun

If you want, I would be happy to drive your beautiful Sweet Silver Corvette for you
I'd even bring it back with a full tank
