Day trip ideas
Wife wants to go for a drive today- We live near the border of IL/WI. What's a place that is scenic and also has nice roads to drive on?

Since it's late....for next time:
If you like beer you could cruise up to Monroe and hit the Minhas brewery and/or a little further north to the New Glarus brewery.
Then there is the cruise out to the Galena area and along the Mississippi.
Route 2 down through Byron/Oregon has some nice views along the river.
Up through Lake Geneva is a nice area as well.
Guess it all depends on where on the border you are and how long of a drive you are looking at taking.
