The "Vettes, Rods & Classics Car Show at Creekside in Gahanna (east side of Columbus, Oh) will be held on August 2nd from 2p - 9p. (Rain Date Aug. 3rd) This is a great venue with restaurants, bars & shops. Bob Evans on site as well. There will be vendors too. Registration is from 2p - 4p, Judging from 4p- 6p. There will be TONS of door prizes, 50/50 and silent auction. The band "NightFall" will start at 5p. Over 65 awards will be given out when the band breaks at 6p. Band will play again following the awards. ALL proceeds are for Nationwide Children's Hospital

This is the same show which has been held in Whitehall, Ohio for the past 11 years. Same great show, just a new venue.

The new venue should make this event different from past years, but better. I cant make it, mom's 90th birthday so take and post a lot of pics. Weather looks ideal....have fun.

Just an update on the show. We are keeping an eye on the weather reports and will post here if we are going to move the show to our rain date which is the next day, Sunday, August 3rd. The times will remain the same.

City of Gahanna will close Mill St, Town St along with walnut St at 1p. We will then be parking on the street along with some of the private parking lots. Hope to see you at the show

Because of the change in dates I could only make for a couple of hours today and all I can say is WOW! Very impressive and had a great time. The wife said that it one of the cooler shows she had been to. Not sure how many cars were there, but it seemed pretty full. Cap City Corvette Club and Mr. Thomas are to be congratulated! Looking forward to next year

Wow....I must have missed you yesterday. Sorry!! It was kind of crazy as you could tell. We had over 260 cars parked on the streets and parking lots. What a great day. Don't have the final numbers yet but I know we raised a great deal of money for the children at Nationwide Children's Hospital. The City of Gahanna and Strathmore Development, who owns Creekside announced last night at the awards they want us to make this an annual event!!! Way to go Capital City Corvette Club members!!!! Thanks to all who attended.

Which parking are you referring to, for general public, participant's or crew?
Participants will have 2 entry gates this year - one on each end of the show field.
The show field has been enlarged this year as well.
Parking and accommodations should work very well this year.

Note: this thread is a year old. This year's date is August 1st and since it starts at 2pm its hard to leave from Cars & Coffee. And my mother will be 91 that weekend so I am still iffy.

Sorry I've taken a while to respond. GAHANNA WILL CLOSE THE STREETS FOR THIS SHOW AROUND NOON. WE HOPE TO START PARKING AT 12:30pm. This year Mill St will be closed from Granville St to Carpenter Rd. This is about double the amount of parking we had on Mill St last year. We will also be parking show cars on Town St. This will be our south entrance. We will have a north gate this year at North St and High St. Walnut St will have NO SHOW CAR PARKING this year as Walnut St will remain open for traffic to enter and exit the parking garage. The garage parking is FREE.

We will be utilizing some of the private parking lots for show cars just as we did last year.

Spectators should plan on parking in the parking garage.

The band NIGHTFALL will play from 5p to 6:15p. Awards at 6:15pm. Band will play again from 7:00pm to 8:30pm

Hope you come out and support this great even for Nationwide Children's Hospital.
