If this is related to Gateway Motors of Michigan, they sell accident cars, many of which are on a salvaged title, and repairs are done as cheaply as possible (1 coat of paint wears out in 1 year, etc). Seeing how they hide the VINs on their site, I'm guessing they don't want people to run a carfax on them prior to the sales pitch and are in some way related.

No, almost positive they are not related to the one in Michigan.

The Gateway in question has its biggest showroom and roots in the St. Louis area and they are a typical large volume retail seller of Muscle Cars, classics, etc.

I have not had any personal dealing but have visited this summer their Chicago showroom in Tinley Park, IL, that opened up one year or two ago. THey had some nice stuff there at typical retail dealer prices.

OP, I would simply google them for reviews, good or bad, but usually if something is too good to be true its usually not, especially when dealing with a retail dealer like this. Best of luck!

I stand corrected I did not know the OP was talking about Gateway Imports I thought he was talking about Gateway Classics and it was Gateway Classics I was referencing in my thread above. G. Classics specializes in Classic Muscle Cars and other Classic Vehicles.

OP, sorry to hear that the folks you were dealing with were scam artists, there are a TON of those folks out there.
