Corvettes in the D Thank you
First of all I want to thank all of the Forum members that came out last Saturday for Corvettes in the D. I hope you had a good time. Road construction made getting there a real challenge this year.
I know there were other choices on where to go, so I am happy that you came to the Ren Cen.
I am always looking for feed back and suggestions.
How did you like the goodie bag?
How did you like the t-shirt?
Did you like the Corvette Racing Trailer?
Did you check out the Atlantic and Pacific Corvettes?
Did you stop and talk to the Corvette Mechanic?
How was the food?
Did you take advantage of the shuttle to the Ren Cen?
Did you stop by Danny Kellermeyer, DJ Racing?
Did you get a new catalog from Corvette Central?
Did you check out the Eye Candy Display?
I would like to take a moment to explain why the date was chosen. It is a combination of availability of the Racing Trailer and the working around other events in the area.
The Racing trailer was at the Grand Prix the end of May, Corvettes in the D in the middle of June and is going to Bloomington Gold the end of June. The Corvette Team (Harlan Charles) is also going to these evetns every other week.
Believe it or not but there are many events now going on in that area of Detroit. There are marathons, art exhibits and this weekend is River Days with the fireworks display.
The parking lots I use are also leased out to Blue Cross and Marriot and I needed to move their employees to a different location.
This was the only open weekend that GM could also participate.
Next year. I plan to have more vendors and exhibits and possibly other seminars. There will be additional GM displays. I plan to have a club tent and a place to put up the Forum Banner. I think I would like to have a group picture too. I think next year we can plan a run over to Belle Isle again.
So I am open for suggestions.
Remember Corvettes on Woodward begins Wednesday August 13 this year.
Thanks again, Larry Courtney

Larry, THANK YOU and Verna and everyone who helped with this, we had a blast. The date worked perfect as the west side hit Lingenfelter Cars and Coffee first, met up with a bunch more people and Kristen led the caravan over to the D
Construction was the only issue, but no way to control that. Weather and location was perfect
Everything was awesome, we walked to the Ren Cen, so did not use the shuttle. Food and all the goodies were great!
Looking forward to next year, having the banner and a group pics would be nice

My first time to the event, and I enjoyed it. I have made several CnC @ Lingenfelter and that has been fun. The run down to the D was great, the event @ the Ren Cen was a lot of fun but what stood out for me was the people.
EVERYONE I stopped and spoke to were eager to talk about the event, their car, the weather, etc. Don't get me wrong, the cars were great too (it was nice receiving compliments on my car as well), but if not for the people the event would not be what it was.
My hat is off to the organizer(s), thank you!

Ditto on what has already been posted. Everything was great. As always another top notch event. Looking forward to Corvettes on Woodward. !
One minor improvement for next year is to have more trash cans. Only one I saw was near the andiamos table. Other than that, great job!
