Roselle used to have your basic closed street downtown cruise night. Not terrible but right along side an earth shaking/dust raising freight and transit train track.
Now they have moved to the bowling alley on Lake street and it should be a hit! A very eclectic mix of 100 plus hot rods and muscle, food and an oldies live band.

Rolling Meadows used to hold a large cruise night in an awful, vacant shopping center parking lot.
Now they have moved to the Church down the block and it is very well organized. 350 plus cars of all shapes and sizes, food and facilities.

If you are in the area(s) give them a try!

Rolling Meadows had 330 cars last night and ended up parking cars on the lawn.
Tonight at Mt Prospect the lot of 160 filled up very quick as did spare lot across the street.
After the horrible winter we had everyone just wants to get out!!

Also Itasca (Saturday) has been allowed back into the large office building's parking lot so it was packed too!

Drifting
381 of the nicest cars and trucks you might ever see.
Very well organized and the volunteers (all church members, I assume) are so helpful.
They are grilling on the premises. Food is VERY inexpensive and delicious.
Mexican restaurant in the strip mall next door is also recommended.
Will return definitely!
