Local places to get a tune done
It would be really cool to have a sticky up here with all the local places that do corvette tuning. People could leave feedback and approximate costs. Do they do road tunes or dyno tunes or both.
I would like to get my car tuned this spring and don't have any source of information for any of this.

Blackdog in Lincolnshire IL does dyno and road tunes. These guys actually race their cars around the country. Their shop is very impressive and can handle anything you give them. Joel is the guy you talk to, very nice guy.

You could try Straightline Performance in New Lenox.
I find Google to be a very useful tool for finding this kind of information (see the Illinois events sticky). There might be an issue with people commenting (good and bad) about tuners that are not supporting contributors to the forum…

how much does a basic tune cost? I am throwing a code from my vararam and I am sure I don't have any leaks. I don't want to back off any of the mods I have. I figured a tune was the best option for me right now..

If you are throwing a code from adding an aftermarket intake (not at all uncommon) that is something they will also have to address.
Have you checked the codes yourself can you supply US the number?

I don't remember the number anymore. It was lean bank 1 and 3 or something like that. When I researched the number the end of last year it kept coming up aftermarket air intake. A few were even vararam.

FLP in Aurora/Naperville area is another stellar option for you OP, along with Straightine, and Black Dog. I would call all shops, see what price they quote you and what shop seems to be offering you the best customer service, attitude, etc.
