Speaking of which, I just did mine at Bass Pro Shops in Gurnee this past weekend (classes run by TrainingByChristy.com). Pretty nice deal - they arranged to have the electronic fingerprints done during the class on Sunday, and the fingerprint guy would even (for a fee) take your picture, scan the training completion certificate, and submit your CCL application right then and there. Before I left for the day on Sunday i had email acknowledgements of the application and payment of the application fee, and I could see on the website that it was in process. All that's left is the waiting. I highly recommend this for anyone that is thinking about doing it.

Yes they do. 5 pistol lanes and a long gun tube. I recommend calling ahead for reservations, as the first time I tried to go I didn't have one and they were booked for the day, so I got turned away. Or if anyone tried to go late Sunday afternoon, they'd have found that the CCL class had the range reserved for qualification shooting, and they would not have been able to shoot.
The only annoying thing, and it's minor, is that you have to check your guns at the desk as you enter, and they put on a trigger guard lock and zip-tie the case, both of which are removed at the range desk. Same thing on the way out - secured at the range desk, and unlocked at the front desk as you leave.

That was what did it for me - class, qualification, fingerprints, and even application submission. All before you leave Sunday evening. Couldn't be more convenient and still be legal.
