Cars and Brewskis?
I see a trend forming for all these 'cars and coffee' meets. I don't drink coffee and I don't get up at the crack of dawn anymore. ...cars and brewskies anyone?

Well, maybe you and YLWFVR75 see some joke in drinking and driving, or even posting about it, but most of the WMC and CC folks, and most others don't see it.
If you wouldn't drink at night, since that's what you are implying you prefer, maybe you could get up early and join your friends in friendship, driving during little traffic, and as occurs with many C&Cs, contribute to a charity instead of a bar.
Oh, and I'll enjoy a few at home during the evening, but I still get up at 6AM, as I did this morning, to support the St. Jude's charity with our C&C contributions.

I honestly don't think this was seen by anyone as serious but in order for it to qualify as joke it should actually be funny, no? Maybe it just didn't translate well from BF Egyptian.
Several early birds trying to raise funds yesterday saw it more as an insult than humor. All's fair though, maybe we can just chalk this one up as a technical contribution gone wrong...

Mr. Jackhall99,
Let me clarify, and hopefully this doesn't get taken out of context.
1. I don't support drinking and driving, nor do I find humor in it.Not sure where I imply that in my post.
2. I personally don't drink alcohol either.
3. What I should have stated above is that our Cars & Coffee events are not my cup of tea. Went to a couple a few years back and it wasn't anything special. Hence my opinion expressed in my previous post is based on my past experience.(My apologies for the harsh choice of words)
I'd Rather go to Baker's of Milford Cruise-in on Sundays and enjoy the spectacle.
4. When I can, I do get involved with fundraising activities in our community, especially when it involves our local car clubs. Which leads me to my next point.
5. C'mon out to Corvettes on Woodward Aug 15th organized by CF's own Larry "Dreamcruiser1977", where will be collecting donations for the Open Hands Food Pantry and have an opportunity to cruise down Woodward Ave with 500 other Corvettes, and I'll buy you a cup of coffee or any other drink of your choice.
Time for a mod to lock up this thread. It has run it's course.
