Default winding, twisty roads in Michigan ?

Ever driven the road from Coldwater to Hell ?

North on 52 past Chelsea, the roads in the Pinckney State Recreation Area are supposed to have tight twisty road and wilderness rivers and lakes.

the other area I want to check out is referred to as the "Tunnel of Trees" road, which starts in Harbor Springs,(close to Mackinaw Island).

From Harbor Springs, you are supposed to follow Route 119 North along the Lake Michigan shore and all the way up to Cross Village.

It's supposed to be very twisty, with roads that run thru a dense wooded area and some glimpses of the Lake Michigan shoreline...

sounds like a nice fall color tour ...

I've heard about them, never driven them ?????????

I'm sure they are not like the "Snake", the "Dragon" in Tenn or Lombard street in California, but looking for some State fun roads ...

Tunnel of Trees is a really nice drive. You can also stop at the Legs Inn and practice your "what were they thinking" face.

I'm going up to st ignace this weekend. I'll have to check out the tunnel of trees. That sleeping bear dunes route is a very nice ride. The have a real nice scenic loop that's worth going to also.

Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive It's like a private Race Track with a bunch of Scenic stops along the way! I LOVE it there

Driving M-22 and other roads around Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is AMAZING!!!
I had a base C6 Vert 6 Speed (not mine) for a few days there back in May.
What a riot!

Deb,
Nice shots. The one photo almost looks like the same spot as mine was taken from. The one heading towards Glen Haven. BTW...Those are two AMAZING Vettes you have there. I've seen many red GS convertibles but I have'nt seen a red ZR-1 in person. Very cool! Must be a riot on those great roads!!
